Title: Data Product Manager

Role Overview: The Data Product Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the

demand prioritization and delivery of data products within the MAKE domain. This

role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data governance,

product management, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will

ensure that data products are developed in alignment with business needs, scalable,

and reusable across functions and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Prioritization:

o Actions:

ï‚§ Collaborate with business domain teams to gather and validate

new demands for data products.

ï‚§ Utilize value-centric prioritization criteria to evaluate and

sequence data product demands.

ï‚§ Maintain a live backlog of prioritized demands using the traffic

light system.

2. Data Product Development:

ï‚§ Oversee the end-to-end development of data products, from

MVP creation to industrialization and scaling.

ï‚§ Ensure alignment with global standards and best practices for

data product development.

ï‚§ Facilitate the integration of data products with existing systems

and processes.

3. Governance and Compliance:

ï‚§ Implement and enforce data governance frameworks and

compliance standards.

ï‚§ Monitor adherence to data standards, policies, and best

practices.

ï‚§ Conduct regular governance reviews and audits.

4. Stakeholder Management:

teams, to gather input and ensure support for data product

initiatives.

ï‚§ Collaborate with stakeholders to define metadata standards and

ensure consistent data contextualization.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business

Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

ï‚· Proven experience in data product management, data analytics in a pharma

manufacturing domain is essential, Experience with data product

development, including MVP creation, industrialization, and scaling is

expected

ï‚· Knowledge of various data modeling techniques and their applications is

fundamental. Candidates should be able to review data models that support

the organization’s data products and analytics needs.

ï‚· A strong command of SQL is preferable for querying and manipulating large

datasets. Candidates should be capable of writing complex queries to extract

insights, support data analysis, and ensure the seamless integration of data

products.

ï‚· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

ï‚· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and

influence stakeholders at all levels.

ï‚· Familiarity with data management tools and platforms.

ï‚· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced

environment.

ï‚· Familiarity with knowledge graphs, semantic layer building based on data

products is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
