Job Title: Master Data Analyst – SAP Materials
Location: Hybrid role – Must be commutable to client office in Frisco, TX : 3-4 days per week onsite.
Duration: 6–12 months (with possible extension)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Analyst to support a global data governance and material master data optimization initiative. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience with SAP Material Master data, including the creation, maintenance, and governance of material records across raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and IT teams to ensure material master data is accurate, complete, and maintained in alignment with business rules and governance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, cleanse, and maintain SAP Material Master data records to support business operations.
- Perform data profiling and validation of existing master data to identify quality issues and gaps.
- Support the governance process for material data including request workflows, approvals, and data stewardship routines.
- Execute mass updates to master data records using tools such as Informatica, LSMW, Winshuttle, or SAP upload programs.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to document and improve master data workflows and maintenance processes.
- Interpret business requirements into data attributes for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, business rules, and SAP data standards.
- Support data readiness for system upgrades, migrations, or harmonization projects as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP ECC or S/4HANA Material Master data.
- Strong understanding of material types (ROH, HALB, FERT) and associated data attributes (Basic Data, Purchasing, MRP, Work Scheduling, Costing, Sales, etc.).
- Proven experience with data cleansing, mass data updates, and data validation techniques.
- Familiarity with master data governance frameworks and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams in global environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP, Informatica, Stibo STEP or other master data governance platforms.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and integration points with Material Master.
- Background in manufacturing, CPG, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
