We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead project organization, process improvement, and reporting activities within a fast-paced and evolving technology environment. The consultant will be responsible for structuring and managing projects using Jira and Confluence, driving process adoption, and ensuring consistent reporting across teams. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities and changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and standardize project tracking and documentation processes using Jira and Confluence

Train, coach, and hold teams accountable for maintaining proper documentation and tool usage

Facilitate weekly project reviews, ensuring active engagement and consistent updates from team members

Establish and manage Jira boards for:

  • Automation and process improvement initiatives, including benefit tracking
  • Audit-related action plans and self-identified issues
  • Clean up existing backlogs and create sustainable processes for tracking work
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility into project progress, key accomplishments, and team performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Serve as a key driver of operational discipline, supporting governance, time tracking, and resource allocation processes
  • Act as a liaison between various teams and leadership, promoting collaboration and accountability

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as both a Scrum Master and Project Manager
  • Expertise in Jira and Confluence, including configuration, workflows, dashboards, and reporting
  • Experience working independently with minimal oversight in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams with varying levels of tool/process maturity
  • Ability to work with and manage complex personalities while fostering a positive, accountable team culture
  • Prior experience in banking or financial services preferred (experience with areas such as commercial banking, lending, payments, deposits, mortgages, or audit tracking is a plus but not required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for time tracking or incident management
  • Strong background in process improvement and operational governance
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or equivalent
