The CIEA (Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and Automation) team consults, builds and delivers high-quality, secure and TCO-optimized infrastructure services & solutions.

With this we create one open platform offering stable, reliable, and extensible services to automate and orchestrate multiple infrastructure providers.

Our customers benefit from our low/no-touch infrastructure services and can focus on their business.

With our tooling, CIEA is providing an open automation layer to support Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Automation, Orchestration and Lifecycle Management of the IT infrastructure for SAP’s cloud offering as well as its SaaS products in an automated and efficient manner.

Our services comprise backup, network, compute, storage or user management and are used by all LoB's both for new deployments as well as post-installation services and operations. Our solutions can easily be adopted in LoB’s processes as Buyer Reference we are offering a single and stable API to all our services.

With our deep understanding of the Hyperscaler functionality we enable the consumption, orchestration and automation ofinfrastructure services for the public cloud offerings such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Alibaba Cloud as well as SAP's private cloud offering Converged Cloud (Openstack based) and ECS (Enterprise Cloud Services) datacenters on a universal platform.

Environment:

Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering across Azure, AWS, and GCP, including the design and management of scalable, secure, and resilient environments with robust networking and storage solutions. It includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and Ansible to automate and standardize cloud deployments, with a focus on best practices such as modularity, version control, and secure secret management. Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) enablement is delivered through the implementation of robust pipelines and GitOps practices, integrating automated quality gates to ensure consistent and secure application delivery. Additionally, the service covers proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management, as well as expert support for resolving complex infrastructure issues and ensuring high system availability. 

Requirements:

• A highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, with a strong focus on automation, modularity, and secure secret management. Experienced in implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices, integrating quality controls such as testing, security scanning, and linting for reliable delivery across environments.
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in cloud networking (VPC design, routing, DNS, firewalls, interconnects), cloud storage optimization, and performance monitoring across multi-cloud environments.
• Skilled in cost optimization, proactive issue resolution, and minimizing downtime through efficient troubleshooting.
• Brings solid scripting skills in Bash and Python, proficiency with Git, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized workloads.
• Driven by a passion for automation, continuous improvement, and highquality engineering standards in complex cloud environments.
