DBA Engineer
Job Description
Position: Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of database-related projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Design, development, operation, and maintenance of databases
• Performance tuning and optimization of databases
• Security management and implementation of backup and recovery processes
• Management of databases on cloud platforms
• Streamlining operations using scripting languages and automation tools
• Decision-making, financial management, and leadership roles
• Effective communication with a global perspective and cultural adaptability
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in independently delivering complex databases or infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management skills, including task prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge and experience with major DBMS such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
• Advanced SQL and programming skills in languages such as Python and Shell scripting
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases
• Knowledge of database security management and backup and recovery processes
• Experience in managing databases on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Effective communication skills with cultural understanding and adaptability
