The following is the JD for our new position – Seeburger Consultant.
Key responsibilities
- Development & integration: Development, configuration and operation of EAI/EDI interfaces with Seeburger BIS Middleware and BIS Mapping Designer Technology as well as connections via e.g. RESTful APIs, SOAP web services in data formats such as JSON, XML, EDIFACT, ANSI X.12 and SAP IDoc
- Project management: Planning and implementation of (sub-)projects throughout the entire project cycle – from requirements gathering to mapping, testing, go-live and hypercare support
- Consulting: Technical consulting for internal departments, close coordination with international teams and collaboration with external customers and partners
- Support: Analysis and processing of change requests, implementation of mapping adjustments, configuration changes and 3rd level support for complex interface problems
- Documentation: Creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles, interface descriptions (e.g. OpenAPI), test collections (Bruno/Postman, SoapUI)
What we're looking for
- Qualifications: Successfully completed studies in the field of business informatics, computer science or comparable trainings
- Experience: Initial practical experience in EAI/EDI integration, middleware development, interface management or IT projects in an international environment
- Technologies: Knowledge of programming languages (ideally Java), databases (SQL), mapping technologies (XQuery, XPath, XSLT) as well as experience with REST, SOAP, EDI standards and SAP IDoc. Optional experience with version management (git) and pipelines, e.g. in Azure.
- Project management: Experience in the independent planning and implementation of integration projects, coordination with interdisciplinary teams and ideally with agile working methods
- Willingness to learn: Openness to new technologies, enjoyment of complex integration tasks and continuous professional development
- Strong communication skills: Team-oriented, structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as very good communication in English
