About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on SAP FICO (Record to Report) Consultant to join the global governance team of a major multinational in the life sciences sector. This is not a project-based role — you’ll support global enhancements and standards across the enterprise, ensuring financial process compliance and system consistency across regions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, configure, and enhance SAP R2R processes in alignment with global finance templates
- Provide hands-on configuration support across:
- Journal entry workflows & internal controls
- Automated clearing
- Accrual engine
- Revenue recognition (RAR – custom implementation)
- Asset Accounting and Investment Management
- Intercompany flows, matching & reconciliation (ICSI, ICR/ICMR)
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Validate and support complex supply chain-related accounting (multi-entity scenarios)
- Collaborate closely with global business stakeholders and participate in SAP-driven finance projects
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, design enhancements, and manage testing and deployment of R2R solutions
- Interface with third-party tools like Blackline (reconciliation) and Smart Close (month-end close)
Qualifications
- CA/CPA preferred; minimum bachelor’s in accounting or commerce
- 7–10 years SAP FICO experience with strong R2R focus
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and ability to connect business needs to SAP configurations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills; proactive communicator
- Hands-on SAP configuration experience required
- Exposure to global processes and multi-company-code scenarios is a must
Nice to Haves
- Experience with tax configurations (Asia & Americas)
- Knowledge of SAP CO-PA, ICMR/ICR, or Intercompany Service Invoicing (ICSI)
- Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with master data dependencies (GL, cost center, materials, etc.)
