IT Architect – Everlast Manhattan Active WMS

Project: Everlast – Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System (WMS) Implementation
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Architect to support the Everlast project, Alcon’s strategic implementation of Manhattan Active WMS. The role will serve as the technical lead guiding solution architecture, integrations, and deployment of this next-gen cloud WMS platform. This is a high-visibility role within a regulated industry, with emphasis on GxP compliance and enterprise-grade performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manhattan Active WMS Expertise
- Design and configure Manhattan Active WMS with minimal customization.
- Lead report development, system testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Guide the development of extensions and ensure their alignment with best practices.
- Direct API development efforts, including RESTful services, and oversee functional testing.
- Provide hands-on leadership for integrations with warehouse automation equipment.
- Manage data migration efforts, change management, and automated/volume testing.
2. Implementation Leadership
- Participate in at least one full-cycle Manhattan Active WMS implementation.
- Preferably experienced in life sciences or regulated environments (e.g., GxP, CSV).
- Ensure audit-readiness of the system during and post-deployment.
3. Integration & Data Strategy
- Architect seamless integrations between Manhattan Active and enterprise systems such as SAP and TMS platforms.
- Define and validate interface specs, middleware configurations, and data flow strategies.
- Monitor and maintain data sync integrity with <1% loss/failure during UAT and go-live.
4. Architecture & Infrastructure Oversight
- Define end-to-end architecture aligned with cloud-first and enterprise standards.
- Lead design reviews and ensure architectural choices align with business goals.
- Provide direction for environment setup, infrastructure planning, and technical risk mitigation.
- Act as a proactive self-starter, comfortable leading complex initiatives independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep expertise with Manhattan Active WMS in a cloud environment.
- Proven success in regulated industries, with understanding of validation, compliance, and traceability.
- Strong experience with integrations (SAP, TMS, automation systems).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
